Organise Your Event Photos with Albums: How It Works and How to Set It Up
Split your event's photos and videos into named albums like 'Ceremony' or 'Photobooth', each with its own link and QR code. Here's how albums work, and how to set yours up in minutes.
You can now organise the photos and videos of a single event into albums. One wedding becomes 'Ceremony', 'Dinner', 'Party' and 'Photobooth', each with its own link and QR code, while everything still comes together in one gallery. Albums are available on Premium and Ultimate events, on the web and in the app.
What are albums?
An album is a named collection inside your event. Nothing moves out of your event when you use them: every photo still appears in the main gallery, and an album is simply a focused view of one part of it. The moment you create an album, it gets its own shareable link and QR code.
- Own link and QR code: every album can be shared on its own, exactly like your event.
- Filters for guests: your event page shows the albums as filter chips, and guests switch between 'All' and any album with one tap.
- One gallery: the main event view always shows everything, so nobody misses a moment.
How albums work for your guests
Guests don't have to learn anything new. On your event page they see the album filters above the gallery, with 'All' selected by default. Scanning an album's own QR code takes them straight into that album instead of the whole event.
Uploads follow the same logic. When a guest uploads while viewing an album, their photos land in that album automatically. They can still pick a different one, or the whole event, before sending. And slideshows follow the filter too: you can put a single album on the big screen via Chromecast or AirPlay, like a photobooth reel at the bar.
How to set up your first album
- Open your event's Manage media page and tap Create album.
- Give it a recognisable name, for example 'Ceremony' or 'Photobooth'.
- Select the album and share it: download its QR code or use Copy link.
That's it. You can rename an album at any time; its QR code keeps working, because the code points to a permanent short link rather than to the name.
Moving photos between albums
Photos never get stuck. On the Manage media page, use Select files to pick any number of photos and videos, even across albums, and move them to another album, or back to the main event. And if you delete an album, you decide what happens: keep the photos (they return to the main gallery) or delete them along with it.
Give every album its own order
Each album can have its own sorting. Keep the ceremony chronological so the day tells its story, while the party album shows the newest photos first. Set it per album on the Manage media page, and guests see each album exactly the way you arranged it.
Private albums for separate collections
Sometimes an album shouldn't sit between the others. Turn on Private album and it behaves like a separate little event: it no longer appears in the filters on your event page, visitors of its link or QR code see only that album, and everything they upload goes straight into it.
That makes private albums perfect for a photobooth station with its own QR code, a collection for your photographer or other suppliers, or a family-only album alongside the public gallery.
Frequently asked questions
Can guests create albums?
No. Only you, as the host, create and manage albums. Guests can view albums, filter by them and upload into them. That keeps your gallery organised the way you set it up.
Which package do I need?
Albums are available on Premium and Ultimate events. On other events you'll see the option, and creating your first album takes you to the upgrade page.
Does an album's QR code keep working if I rename the album?
Yes. The QR code points to a permanent short link, so printed cards and signs stay valid no matter how often you rename.
How many albums can I create?
There is no fixed limit: create as many as your event needs. In practice, three to six albums keep things clearest for guests.
What happens to the photos when I delete an album?
You choose. Keep the photos and they move back to the main gallery, or delete them together with the album. We always ask before anything is removed.
Albums are live today on all Premium and Ultimate events. Open your event's Manage media page, create your first album, and hang that photobooth QR code where everyone can find it.
